We focus on bringing attention to the situations and choices girls and young women will have to face as they transition from early school years onto campus life and the working world. We partner with schools, youth groups and organizations to promote independence, confidence and courage among girls and young women.
High School Here I Come (The Importance of Our Girls): In this workshop we spend time listening to how the girls feel about moving to high school. Our activities are geared to lead them to talk about relationships with their family and friends, good study habits, making decisions and adjusting to being more independent. We reinforce key messages that they are important, values matter and that their voices and opinions are needed.
Campus Readiness - The goal of this workshop is to help reduce the fear, stress and anxiety that young women are experiencing with having to decide what to do after high school. We will talk about the social, emotional, financial and educational elements of choosing. In the presence of other young women who are considering these same questions, and sharing similar feelings, we will provide each participant with a simple step by step process to help them decide how to make decisions now and in the future. We will also raise awareness of all the options that are available to them after high school.
